Rajesh Dudeja graduated from T. I. T. in the year 1986, completing his studies in Textile Technology, specilaizing in weaving, with honours.
Even during the four years of college, where the focus was completely on textile technology, he was continuously learning the intricacies of micro-electronics, and gradually developed a very strong interest in micro-processors. His final year project in the college was on micro-processor based shedding mechanism.
Subsequently, he pursued a course in International Marketing from the Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. As a part of the curriculum of the PG Diploma, he carried out an exhuative research on the Export of Textile Machinery from India.
Immediately after completing the PG Diploma, he joined Texmaco Ltd., in the International Marketing division. Soon realizing that he was not cut out for a routine 9 to 5 drill, he left the job, and started exploring other avenues which would be more satisfying and returned to his passion - this time in the form of system design and software.
R. Dudeja has pursued a hybrid career embracing business management, HR and IT consultancy, and has an exposure of more than two decades, in the corporate world and industry.
He has extensive experience in implementing and setting up web based solutions. He is the core architect of a proprietary web-based paper-less system for collaborative virtual working, known as the Universal Virtual Office.
All along, he has been very closely associated with the business world, as well as the student community, and has done pioneering work in bridging the gap between the industry/corporate world and the educational institutes.
He has to his credit the TITOBA On Net portal, which is the result of his vision, imagination and foresight, and has contributed immensely in not only bringing TITians together, but also in uplifting the image of the alma-mater.
He also created another community - Denim Club India - which is, once again, a one-of-its-kind platform for denim professionals and enthusiasts, and has been appreciated by all segments of the denim industry.
R. Dudeja, has a very strong inclination towards socially constructive activities, and has been involved with various NGOs over the last 20 years. He is very closely attached with the Jaago Grahak Jaago - the consumer awareness campaign and was the key person in developing the National Consumer Helpline - http://consumerhelpline.in. He is on the board of VOICE - Voluntary Organization in the Interest of Consumer Education, one of the country's oldest consumer interest NGOs.
He is also the initiator of the India Denim Day campaign - http://indiadenimday.org - which promotes awareness for HIV and AIDS and has a very strong focus on the Textile, Apparel and Retail Industries, as these segments employ migrant labour in lareg numbers.
