TITOBA On net is organizing a re-union of TITians on 24 July, 2010, at the Jashn Banquet Hall, located at the Atul Kataria Round About, in Gurgaon. The event is being supported by B. S. T. Textile Mills Pvt. Ltd., courtesy Mr. Mukesh Tyagi, 1983 batch.
Program Details
A cocktail-dinner is being hosted, on the evening of Saturday, 24 July, 2010. The party will start at 7.30 pm, and we hope to end it by around 11.30 pm.
The attempt is to make it a one-of-its-kind re-union, which offers ample opportunities to every one to connect and re-connect with seniors, juniors and batch-mates.
The cocktail-dinner is primarily for singles, but, in case a TITian wishes to, or has to, bring along the spouse, he or she is most welcome.
The get-together will offer ample opportunities to every one to connect and re-connect with seniors, juniors and batch-mates, and will also take you to a trip down the memory lane by way of a screening of a video of the round-trip of the college campus, hostels, and mess, to revive and refresh the memories of the good old college days!!!
Confirmations Received
We have received around 80 confirmations till now. the list of TITians who have sent in their confirmation for participation is being updated continuously.
Mr. Balwant Rai Bhatnagar, who was the First Student who joined the college in 1943 has agreed to travel all the way from Bhiwani to be present with all of us in the get-together. Mr. Rakesh Kalia, 1968 batch, located in Nagpur, has confirmed that he would be coming over to join all of us. Dr. Rishi Jamdagni, 1976 batch, currently the Director of the institute, has also verbally confirmed his presence in this get-together.
I would also like to make a special mention of at least two TITians - who are located outside India and have indicated that they would be joining us on 24 July. They are - Mr. H. B. S. Lamba, 1988 batch, who is located in Bahrain, and would be flying in for a day to spend the evening with fellow TITians; and Mr. Ashish Gupta, 1995 batch, who is located in Indonesia, and has planned his vacation dates in such a way that he can be with us in this get-together.

About Mr. Mukesh Tyagi, 1983 batch, Promoter of B. S. T. Textile Mills Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Mukesh Tyagi, from the 1983 batch, is the promoter of B. S. T. Textile Mills Pvt. Ltd., located at Rudrapur in Uttrakhand. Mr. Mukesh Tyagi started his professional career like most of us do - joining a textile mill after graduating from college. Subsequently, he worked with different organizations, getting exposure of different activities, and kept moving up the ladder.
After having gained enough experience in technology and commercial operations, over a span of around 15 years, he stepped out of the set-up and started his journey as an entrepreneur. He started a yarn-trading business in the year 1996, as a yarn agent for Shamken Spinners Ltd. and Nahar International Limited for Maharashtra and some parts of Gujarat, operating out of Mumbai. In the year 2005, Mr. Tyagi along with his brother Mr. Pawan Tyagi, 1993 batch, promoted BST Textile Mills Pvt. Ltd. Very recently, he has gone in for capacity expansion by way of Unit II of BST, which is about to get operational in the next couple of weeks.
BST offers a wide range of 100% cotton ring spun raw white yarns, carded and combed, for knitting and weaving applications. BST also offers TFO double and multi-fold yarns such as 3-ply / 4-ply, both combed and carded, and open end yarns produced on Schlafhorst SE20 in count range 6 to 30s in ring spun, and 6 to 20s in open end. With the Unit II starting production, BST will also be offering high quality value-added slub yarns for denim, coarse yarns for apparel, terry towel and rugs, with world-class technology from Reiter, Zinser, Schlafhorst and LMW.
