You sure would not have heard of somethign like this in the last many years!!!

Yes!!! After a long gap of 15 years, a Cricket Match will be held in the college campus - between the College Cricket Team, and the Alumni Cricket Team, on the 26th of January, 2011.

Thanks to Dr. Rishi Jamdagni [1976] - the current Director of the Institute - who  welcomed the idea and took no time in saying yes to the proposal. The sporting way in which Dr Jamdagni has supported the proposal will sure go a long way in improving and strengthening the bond between the students and the ex-students.

Now.... how did it all start?

You are aware that TITOBA ON Net organized an informal get-together of alumni on 18 Dec., 2010, which was attended by around 100 fellow TITians.

Mr. P. K. Aggarwal, 1987 batch, was also with us. While we talked of almost everything under the Sun, he mentioned that long back they went to the college for a cricket match with the college team. This was in the years 1994 and 1995. And, then he kind of wished that if possible we could do that again.

PK has all along been actively playing cricket, and always has several TITians in the team. You might recall that we had posted some news about some of the matches they played a couple of years ago. He said that if a match could be scheduled in the college, he can put together a full-fledged team of TITians, and we can give a tough fight to the students.

Prizes and Kits Sponsorship!!!
Mr. P. K. Aggarwal [1987] is sponsoring the playing kits for both the College team as well as the Alumni team. The teams shall wear coloured uniforms and shall play the match with white ball, which are also being arranged by Mr. P. K. Aggarwal.
