... Bringing TITians Closer To Each Other
After the grand success of the last two get-togethers, on 24 July 2010 and 18 Dec. 2010, in Gurgaon, TITOBA ON Net is now organizing the next next informal get-together of TITians on Saturday, 30th July, 2011.
The venue for this get-together is Great India Celebration Hall, Pind Balluchi, 2nd Floor, Ansal Plaza Mall, Palam Vihar, Gurgaon. We shall meet over a cocktail-dinner, starting at 7 PM.
The get-together, for singles, will be on a contributory basis, with INR 1200 as the per head contribution.
We are grateful to Mr. Arvind Oberoi [1997] for helping us with the booking of the venue. Mr. Vineet Gera [2001, MBA] will be taking care of various arrangements as in the past.
Past Events
TITOBA On Net has organized very successful and well-attended get-togethers of TITians in the past. The two most recent events were held on 18 Dec. 2010 and 24 July 2010. Both the events were attended by more than 100 fellow TItians, which is a record of sorts.
Get-together on 18 Dec. 2010
An informal get-together of TITians, the second in the year 2010, was organized on 18 Dec., 2010, at Vatika, Pind Baluchi, in Gurgaon. The get-together started with Registration followed by a cocktail session while TITians could say hello & start catching up with one another. The venue for the cocktail-dinner, was the open lawns @ Vatika, with free flowing drinks, accompanied by a live DJ.
The get-together was well attended with over 100 TITians coming together. A bonfire was lit in the centre of the lawn and people could be seen standing around / sitting in small groups and catching up while enjoying drinks and snacks. Once the DJ started playing a large number of enthusiastic TITians could be seen on and around the dance floor, cheering on and dancing away.
The program was graced by the presence of Prof. R. C. D. Kaushik, Ex-Director, and Dr. Rishi Jamdagni, 1976, current Director of the institute.
Re-union on 24 July 2010 @ Jashn Banquets
The 24 July 2010 re-union witnessed the coming together of close to 140 TITians, ranging from the senior-most TITian present in the gathering, Mr. H. P. Gupta, from 1956 batch, to Mr. Amit Saini, a student from 2011 batch. It is quite interesting to note that there was a large number of TITians from junior batches, who had attended a TITOBA Get-together for the first time and who all seemed to be quite happy to be in the company of their seniors and super-seniors.
